We were founded in 1992 as Sierra Well Service, Inc., a Delaware corporation and in 2000, we became Basic Energy Services, Inc.

Our regionally managed operations are concentrated in major onshore oil and natural gas producing regions located in Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, Wyoming, North Dakota, California, and Colorado. We focus on liquids-rich basins with recent histories of strong drilling and production economics, as well as natural gas-focused shale plays characterized by prolific reserves. Our unique strengths give us a competitive position in our industry. These include our extensive footprint in the most prolific basins and our significant market position in core operating areas. We maintain a modern and competitive fleet that matches the local needs where we operate.
