What is the passenger policy?
Dollar General Fleet Drivers may bring one Authorized Companion in their Cabs during their scheduled routes. To be considered an authorized companion you must meet the designated criteria before a companion may begin to accompany a driver.
What is the pet policy?
Dollar General Fleet Drivers may elect to bring one vaccinated (including the rabies vaccination), non-aggressive dog or car on loads. While on Dollar General store and Distribution Center premises, pets must remain in the cab of the truck and must remain leashed during any time outside of the truck. Prior to bringing a pet in a private fleet truck, Drivers are required to register their pet at their Terminal location and supply a copy of their pet's vaccination records.

We reserve the right to slip Seat drivers trucks when they take vacation.
If a driver takes extended home time is there a risk that their truck will be taken away and reassigned?
Just Slip seated
Are drivers able to take the tractor home with them on home time?
Yes, if the trailer does not have any merchandise.
Do drivers need to be prepared to have a place to keep the trailer on home time?
No, trailers can be left at the DC.
Can drivers leave the trailer locked up in a different location than the tractor on home time?
Yes, at the closest store with their permission.
Do the trucks come equipped with refrigerators?
No.
Do the trucks have single bunks or double bunks?
Both, depends on the truck.
