Norwalk Ready Mix Concrete, Inc. was founded by Jack and Susan Bohlender in 1971 in Norwalk, Iowa.

Jack started with one other employee and two used ready mix trucks. Jack and his lone employee, Dick Phipps, would take an order, load their trucks, complete the project, come back, and do it all again. Since then, the company and its fleet of trucks have grown.

In 1992, Norwalk Ready Mix purchased Central Ready Mix in Indianola, Iowa. Our newest location opened for business in 2020 in Elkhart, IA. Today, Norwalk Ready Mix operates out of five facilities and employs approximately 150 people.

Norwalk Ready Mix supplies concrete to the best contractors in Central Iowa and the surrounding areas.
