Pohl Transportation, Inc. is a family owned & operated company celebrating 30 years of being in business. We pride ourselves with the quality of drivers we hire & the excellent service we provide to our customers. We are based in Ohio and typically service East of the Mississippi River, with the exceptions of freight going to KS, MO, and TX. Our fleet consists of 2019 and newer Volvo VNL860 series tractors and 53' dry vans hauling 98% no-touch freight. Our employees are recognized for the integral role in the success of our company and truly are treated as members of the Pohl family.

    No rider for your 1st Thirty Days of employment and after that your rider can ride for year around. Also the rider must be at least 16 years or older.

    Orientation is typically 1.5 days and most drivers are out by 3pm at the conclusion of Orientation.

    Are new hires paid anything for orientation?

    We pay drivers $150 for successful completion of Orientation.

    We use all methods of transportation.

    Does the driver get their own hotel room or are drivers required to room with another driver?

    Drivers get their own private hotel rooms.

    After orientation is finished how long will it take for the driver can get dispatched home to pick up his/her gear?

    After orientation, we usually send drivers home that weekend to gather the rest of their gear.

    Does the company have enough trucks for all of the drivers it hires at orientation or will the driver need to travel to another facility or terminal to recover a truck after orientation is finished?

    All of our trucks are that our only terminal and ready for drivers to move into.

    Every Tuesday by Direct Deposit.

    We wouldn't know as we have no cap on our pay!

    You get an yearly automatic raise on the anniversary of your hire date.

    We offer a full benefits package that includes Free Health Insurance for the driver, 401k, Dental, Vision, Paid vacations, Paid Holidays and company paid life insurance.

    Yes, We have a yearly and quarterly safety programs.

    Does the company offer any sign on bonuses?

    Yes, We have a $4000 Dollar Sign on Bonus.

    Our Sign on Bonus is paid out over the course of 6 months. You receive the 1st $1000 in the first 30 days and then $1000 in 90 days and $2000 grand at 6 months.
