Who we are

In 2003, Talon Logistics opened its' door in New Albany, IN with 2 employees, and 5 drivers. Talon Logistics was created to be a division of a traditional truckload carrier based out of central Kentucky. The principle mission for Talon was to provide transportation services to the shipping public in the Louisville, KY area. The Talon management team wanted to expand the services offered. The only way to accomplish that was to discard the corporate mentality of "old school" trucking.

In 2005, the management team at Talon Logistics (our management team has over 150 years of combined transportation experience), separated from the original owners and created Talon Logistics Services, a full service logistics company. Our asset based trucking division allowed us more flexibility in handling our customers' domestic van freight and international container movements. Our strategic partnerships with public warehouses allowed us to offer storage, transloading, and consolidation of freight nationwide. We also provided onsite and offsite yard shuttle service for movement of inventory and equipment.

In 2009, we evolved into THE TALON LOGISTICS NETWORK, a sophisticated logistics company providing a wide range of transportation services employing more than 75 people. Our services now included a full service warehouse and 3rd Party Logistics services. That same year we moved into a new corporate office located in a modern, multi-functional building in Jeffersonville, IN.

In 2011, we moved to our current, multi-acre Logistics campus located in Sellersburg, IN. The move to Sellersburg increased our warehouse storage space and our staff is now over 100 employees.

Here we grow again.....in 2012, Talon partnered with the largest tank builder in North America. Caldwell Tanks, Inc., headquartered in Louisville, KY has been building innovative, customized storage tanks and vessels throughout North America since 1887. Caldwell is the industry leading provider of water storage tanks and a growing provider of industrial field-erected tanks, vertical concrete storage structures, concrete construction for foundations, tank asset preservation programs, power augmentation and coatings solutions. Caldwell is our second customer to utilize our innovative 3rd Party Logistics model by turning their transportation departments over to us, so they can focus on what they do best.....Build Tanks.
